Musgrove Willows runs a range of courses in willow making throughout the year at our centre in the beautiful Somerset Levels, Westonzoyland, Somerset.

Willow Courses
Willowcraft courses start at £45 for one day and £90 for two days (unless otherwise stated) and include all materials you need and a light lunch and refreshments. And you will come away with something wonderful, strong, environmentally-friendly and above all, very personal to you.
Our courses include:
- Making your own traditional basket
- Creating your own garden structures
- Hurdle weaving
- Alternatively, a day’s bird watching on the Levels with our resident bird expert
Musgrove Willows can also arrange your accommodation or suggest places to stay to help make your course in willow making an experience not to forget.
As well as taking your own willow creation home, you can see the willow being grown and processed at first hand, taking in one of Somerset’s oldest crafts. Visitors are welcome to walk through the withy fields and enjoy the abundant and amazing variety of wildlife that can be found on the Somerset Levels.
For four generations the Musgrove family has been producing willow for baskets, hurdles, gifts and coffins.
As a result they are committed to developing the understanding of this carbon neutral material, working closely with the environment and the wildlife and refusing to use dyes or bleaches on their willow.
Whether you’re on holiday in Somerset or simply looking for a fun and interesting craft course to do in one of the most beautiful, green parts of Britain, Musgrove Willows has the course for you.
